1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us when using SportsTracker:

• Account information: Your name and the email address you sign in with.
• Group data: Session details, attendance records, and financial ledger entries created by group administrators.
• Device information: If you register a biometric passkey, we store the cryptographic credential (not your biometric data itself).
• Push notification tokens: If you opt in, we store your push subscription details to deliver notifications.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to provide and improve the App's functionality:

• To authenticate you and manage your account
• To display your attendance history and financial balance
• To send you notifications about sessions and group activity
• To allow group administrators to manage their groups

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

3. Data Sharing

Your data is shared only within your sports group (e.g., your name and attendance status are visible to other group members). We do not share data with external parties except where required by law. We use Neon (PostgreSQL hosting) for data storage, which has its own privacy practices.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting your group administrator or emailing us. Group administrators can remove players from their groups, which will stop data collection for those users.

5. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted password storage (bcrypt), HTTPS-only connections, and short-lived session tokens. Biometric authentication credentials are stored using WebAuthn standards — we never have access to your actual biometric data.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact your group administrator or reach us directly at atadimalla@gmail.com. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, Australian Privacy Act).

7. Push Notifications

Push notifications are entirely optional. You can enable or disable them in the app settings at any time. Removing your push subscription does not affect your account or data.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes via in-app announcement. Your continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
